ESPN has announced that the 2010 World Series of Poker season will be aired starting tonight at 8 p.m. ET. This is one of the most popular poker events in the world and the first two-hour episode will be all about the $50,000 Players Championship. A total of 116 poker players played in the poker tournament that featured a $5.6 million prize with $1.5 million going to the winner.

The Main Event of the World Series of Poker, which is considered the most important tournament in the world of poker, started today in Las Vegas, Nevada. This event draws far more players than any other poker event and during the past years at least 5,000 poker players have entered the championship for a chance to win the big jackpot.
